Day 1: Arrival

Discover the Monterosa valleys starting from the authentic and accessible Mont Mars Nature Reserve: mountain pastures, alpine lakes and all the value of hospitality in our facilities where you can spend two nights and decide whether to take advantage of a day of relaxation or enjoy the surroundings with other more gentle walks or less easy based on your training. Possibility of transfer to the foot of Monte Rosa to complete the experience in the Alps.

Day 2: Round trip Etoile du Berger

This day of trekking will be designed together with you during the briefing based on your abilities and form, and could represent a “leg loosener” in view of the most demanding stage of the following day. Any routes will be marked on the paper map and, where possible, a GPX track will be given.

Day 3: Etoile du Berger-Barma hut

In the heart of the Mont Mars Nature Reserve, you travel along part of the pic­turesque route, where a procession devoted to the Black Madonna has taken place every 5 years since 1500. The power of nature, Mont Mars and the possi­bility of a refreshing dip in the enchanting lakes near the refuge make this an unforgettable experience.

Day 4: Round trip Barma

Other day to be designed with Stefano: relax in the refuge and on the edge of the beautiful alpine lakes or longer walks in the surrounding area. Any routes will be marked on the paper map and, where possible, a GPX track will be given!

Day 5: Barma-Etoile du Berger

Excursion of great beauty, in an alpine environment with magnificent views of the valleys. Good training required to return back to Etoile du Berger where you can pick up the car for departire or:

Day 6: Round trip Wongade

Relaxing day to visit the beautiful Walser village of Gressoney La Trinitè. Alternatively, there is the possibility of a ring for hiking at high altitude and getting closer to the Monte Rosa glaciers. The cableways located on site will make the route easier! To be decided on spot with our assistance and with the energy you still have!

Breakfast and possible short hike. Departure.

We’ve compiled a list of essential items you’ll need to take on your adventure in the Great Outdoors. While each trip has its own minimum requirements, we have split the list into “need-to-have” and “nice-to-haves”.

Need to have:

Lightweight, waterproof shell
Sunscreen with a high factor
Smartphone with a relevant trip app and a WhatsApp and code number for your local representative
Survival blanket
Thin hat, cap, and thin gloves (merino or similar)
Daypack for hiking (tours with luggage transport)
Duffel bag or similar (trips with luggage transport) — DO NOT pack in suitcases.
30 L rucksack on trips up to six days (without luggage transport)
