Day 1

Night in Malcesine

Arrival in Malcesine and check in. Malcesine is a charming, medieval town bursting with history. The beautiful castle in the centre of the town has shaped its culture and traditions. The town is surrounded by mountains and by the famous Garda Lake, the largest lake in Italy.In the afternoon, you will meet with one of our trekking experts who will provide a trip briefing and orientation, as well as maps, and everything necessary for your self-guided adventure.Depending on when you arrive, you may have time for exploring the town. The old town centre of Malcesine is well-known for its little cobbled streets lined with small boutiques, cafés and restaurants serving fresh fish direct from the lake. Malcesine town centre offers beautiful views over the old houses, down the narrow streets and out into the countryside surrounding the town. Malcesine never ceases to amaze!Night in Malcesine.

Day 2

Hut Telegrafo

Breakfast at the hotel. Starting from the historic center of Malcesine, take the cable car to reach the CAI 651 path and start an exciting adrenaline-filled route along the peaks of Monte Baldo: the Baldo chain rises above Garda Lake and the combination of the two will give you breathtaking and unforgettable views and memories.You will cross Monte Baldo from north to south walking on the highest peaks of it passing through the famous Cima Valdritta, the highest peak of the Baldo (2218m). The breathtaking views will accompain you through all the path. Here everything becomes impressive with the majestic silence of Mount Baldo.Arrival to refugio telegrafo, dinner and overnight in refugio.

Day 3

Hut Forte Naole
Breakfast at the hut. You will continue your adventure on the CAI 658 path, a very suggestive excursion with views that range over the Veronese plain and up to the Apennines on clear days. You will spend a day discovering an unexpected and different Monte Baldo: large pastures and green meadows will accompany you during the excursion. In this stretch of the route there will be the opportunity to spot the friendly Baldo chamois and to closely observe the wide variety of flowers.An intermediate stage is the Chierego Refuge, an ideal point for a regenerating break thanks to the panoramic terrace from which it is possible to take wonderful photographs. Afterwards, you will approach Fort Naole, a defensive building dating back to the First World War.Arrival at the Forte Naole hut where you can admire a spectacular sunset. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Castelletto
Breakfast at the refuge. Today you will take a nice hike across the southern side of the Monte, with a wide view of the lower part of Lake Garda. From the refuge, continue along the CAI 655 path that leads to Campo: a medieval village now abandoned on the Veronese shore of Lake Garda: an authentic jewel. From up there, the landscape of Lake Garda is gorgeous.
Continue on direction to Castelletto: a nice and cozy lakeside village sorrounded by Monte baldo. Time to relax yourself along the shore. Castelletto offers beautiful walks along the lake, bars, restaurants and stores.
